Hard to imagine being able to improve next season on a front four of (L-R) Ramsey-Rogers-Watkins-Bailey, with Diaby, Emi2 and Duran in reserve. Then you’ve got SJM, Dougie, Kamara and Tielemans competing for two spots in centre-mid (another CDM would come in handy there). Central defence is also looking good with Ty back. Full-backs the priority for me. Obviously, it’s actually impossible to improve on the goalkeeper.

Kamara might not be available for the first team until February and he's the only DM we have. That's essential for me.

I’m not against one of Tielemans or Luiz leaving but we will need a decent poker face to get a fee that justifies the loss.
That would free up the space to buy a decent DCM.

A few new faces are always great to keep things fresh. Hopefully players that only want CL football. ;)

Tosin Adarabioyo at Fulham is available on a free this summer. That said, I'd prefer a goal scoring centre half, it's been too long since we had one.

I'd be happy with a defence that regularly kept a clean sheet!

Didn't realise De gea was still without a club, blimey. Didn't he win the Golden Glove last season?

On massive wages, then on a freebie so probably wanted even more then take a cut. I also wonder is he still considering he should be first choice so turned down some clubs because they only wanted him as backup.

The game against Olympicao tonight and some recent performances have shown need for both strengths I depth but also starting to show need a higher calibre player in several positions to keep momentum within squad and keep top level positions.

The like of Spurs, Man Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle players are not going to v playing Champions League football so it's not out of realms to sign any of players from these clubs as now it's a case of is being the attractive, ambitious and Champions league club.
Those lot can butt out!!

Wouldn't it be just the icing to take Son from spurs!
Certainly have to be getting in champions league experienced players!

Up The Villa!!!

Funny you say that, I was listening to an interview with Paul McGrath today. They prided themselves on it. Next season we really need to tighten up the defence.

Emery has preferred to win 4-3 than 1-0 it's just how he is

Is he even that good anymore? Had loads of injuries and looked poor when Leicester went down and no one from the prem wanted him compared to the others.

I’d guess he’d come as a back up to Kamara, so wouldn’t be playing week in and week out.

Given our delicate FFP situation I doubt we will be spending much money in the summer window but I am expecting Monchi to pull a few loans and out-of-contract rabbits out of the hat
Now called PSR and the squad cost ratio what exactly are you saying regards spending this summer
Is it delicate ??

Is it a case of some player sales as we are restricted?

Champions League is a must by all accounts for finance and prestige but are we looking at a sale of first team player like Ramsey for pure profit £40/50m, Luiz for big money £80m or perhaps Diego Carlos and Callum Chambers for 30m combined  or something more like a few less established like  Iroegbunam and Archer for saying 30m or so for the pair with clauses?
