We need additional physicality in the centre of the park to replace Kamara.  I think we've really missed him.  Luiz has been great but lacks physical presence at times.  This would be my number one target.  When Bouba gets back, play them both and give the likes of Rogers, Buendia, Bailey etc some freedom.
Wilfred Ndidi is available on a free transfer as out of contract in the summer.
He's targeting Prem top 6 for a summer transfer

I admire your optimism Footy but there’s no way we’ll be after Kimmich or Alphonso Davies or more to the point that they’d come. The other names are more gettable. Jovic was great at Frankfurt but has struggled since then.

Well fingers crossed for champions league as the ambitions and optimism for signings will be bigger ceiling.

I've said this before, but Villa need a bastard. Emi is a shithouse but is limited to how much influence he can have outside of the box. I'd like a player who is just like a brick wall in the middle of the pitch.

We are missing that type of player, even if it's someone who can come on in the latter stages of games to lift energy levels.

I was impressed with Gallagher last night, he seems to have matured a lot in his positioning and patience, he's far less GungHo than he was last time I saw him play, which took the eye but also limits who he can play with.

That said, he isn't better at what he does now than players we already have, and for the fee he'll command, there will be better value elsewhere if we did want a back up.

Good player but isn't a DCM.  I would take a gamble on him especially free.

Goals conceded 52
Arsenal 26
Losing or drawing from 2-0  leads, too many.
This with the best goalkeeper in the world. Not difficult to work out where the improvements/strengthening  needs to be.

I just drop in here that even Man City let a 2-0 lead slip away at home...... to Crystal Palace. They also let other leads slip as well including to Chelsea were they lead 1-0, 3-2 and 4-3.

Which is very interesting, as is that in total they have conceded only 32 goals.
Their performances have little bearing on where we should be looking to strengthen.

We need to add more depth. The amount of games we've had seems to have caught up with us and we've got a lot of players who are either injured or carrying knocks.

I think we'll be lucky to get Kamara back before February and he's the only one who can play that role without it having a knock-on effect for the other midfielders. That's number one priority.

We've done amazing really, when you look at the injuries and the fact we've had European games to play. Looking at the likes of Newcastle, and Spurs
who had no Europe, they really fell off when their injuries started mounting up. Worst case scenario for us now is 5th place and a European SF, which may be somewhat disappointing but not something we'd have been upset about this time last year.

We saw yesterday though that the bench is threadbare and any injuries to the starting 11 can throw the whole game plan out the window. We'd still need some luck with injuries but it feels like one or two good buys in the summer could work wonders for us.

Just for the line that we have dropped points from 2-0 up too many times, (three) and Citeh, who will probably win the title have done it once, so how many is actually allowed?

And you are correct that we have let in too many goals this season, although take the top three out of it and it seems we are 7th best defence albeit it most under us have played less games. Spurs for example have let in three less but are three games less as well.

Imagine spending half a billion on defenders and not having the best defence in the league.

I can see us going for Zubimendi.

I like Palhinha at Fulham even if he is a walking yellow card.
