Probably nothing in it but BBC gossip page says Olise is open to moving to Man Utd in the summer.

How many number 10's do man utd want? They need a couple of centre halves and some ball winners.

Ethan Ferguson should be the main target in the summer. Totally gettable being the champions league and Brighton being a selling club.

We won’t be anywhere near Evan Ferguson with the £120m price tag being banded about recently.

Yeah but Ethan Ferguson will be cheaper.

Carlos to Milan? https://twitter.com/AVFC_espanol/status/1783810427966652604

Translation

Milan values strengthening its Defence with Diego Carlos. It is one of the names they have on the table.

Conversations between clubs have not yet started but it is expected that they will not take long to arrive.

Diego Carlos ends his contract in 2026.

And as discussed on pages passim, there isn't really any massive difference between what he has done for Brighton and Ireland over the last couple of years that Duran hasn't done for us and Colombia.

Certainly not to the extent that we should be breaking our transfer record to sign him.

I'm sure the only reason people thought it was a strop was his social media being wiped and then people jumping to their own conclusions.

There was more to it than that I reckon. Decent journalists who seem to get more right about Villa than they get wrong, like Tom Collomosse and Jacob Tanswell both wrote articles how Duran wasn't happy with the chances he was getting and didn't see eye to eye with Emery. You can understand why a young lad from the other side of the world was taking time to settle in, but I do think there was some substance around the stories of him being a bit difficult at times.

Whatever did or didn't happen, he looks a lot happier now. Hopefully he realises what a privileged position he's in to be learning from somebody like Emery.

Totally agree. I think recently Duran has looked more mature and focussed than previously and adds something from the bench. We should definitely keep him if his head is tuned in to Villa.

Players like Kimmich and Alphonso Davies rumored to be wanting to leave Bayern, should be pursued by Villa this summer , as we showed ambitions in previous attempts for likes of Gonçalo Ramos, João Félix and Marco Asensio, Federico Chiesa.

I think have to expect some high-quality editions who are experienced in Europe if make the Champions League.
And regardless- we'll still be making strong moves.
Argentine Pablo Dybala contract expires next year and he's someone who could bring in for attack.
And along with Kimmich who contract expires in 2025 there's Spain's  midfielder Mikel Merino, and right back Denzel Dumfries who would be welcome additions and think be on radar.

Regards some free transfers well there's been strong rumour of signing Centre back on a free Hermoso from Athletico Madrid
And I do wonder if considered a couple of strikers who are out of contract this summer Porto's Mehdi Taremi, Milans Luka Jović as added experience to Watkins and competition to Duran.

I admire your optimism Footy but there’s no way we’ll be after Kimmich or Alphonso Davies or more to the point that they’d come. The other names are more gettable. Jovic was great at Frankfurt but has struggled since then.

We need additional physicality in the centre of the park to replace Kamara.  I think we've really missed him.  Luiz has been great but lacks physical presence at times.  This would be my number one target.  When Bouba gets back, play them both and give the likes of Rogers, Buendia, Bailey etc some freedom.

Would love them but id say the chance of signing either is zero as they will have bigger offers than us sadly

I've said this before, but Villa need a bastard. Emi is a shithouse but is limited to how much influence he can have outside of the box. I'd like a player who is just like a brick wall in the middle of the pitch.

Aye.

It wasn't Footy Insider or Caught Offside speculative bobbins.

There was (and might still be) strong interest from AC Milan, Chelsea and Wham.

A young player with no connection to the club prior to last year might be interested in that. Particularly if he's not getting regular game time.

Anyone take Gallagher?

One year left on his deal so Chelsea won't be selling him for stupid money and they need some quick sales for FFP this summer.

Very experienced now with four seasons in this league and I feel working under someone like Emery his passing and positioning would improve as he still has the air of a headless chicken just following the ball on occasions.

McGinn had that perception just 18 months back and now he plays like a cultured Modric type in possession so that's what good coaching can do over a prolonged period.

Gallagher is still only 24 so feels a good opportunity to pick up player who can be improved with many good years ahead of him.
