Has Ferdi Kadıoğlu been mentioned? It seems we're interested. As ever, I have no clue who he is.
An apparently decent Dutch boy who was brainwashed to choose Turkiye, an Islamist country, for his international career. Do we want "his sort" at our club located in the heart of England?

Like others have said, I'm not sure we will do much business, especially with Buendia and Mings back, Ramsey too.  We also have Ned and Sousa coming in, although no idea of Emery thinks they are ready to stake a claim on a first team spot.  I think we will hunt for a DCM and either spend any money we have on that spot, or carry out a loan to cover Kamara.  Free transfers still on the cards I guess.  Hopefully, we get a few out with Dendonker, Hause, Chambers, Olsen going.  I wonder if we might let the likes of Duran, Tim and Digne go if bids come in.

The first team squad is good enough to only need minor surgery but we might see a few younger players come in now that Monchi's had time to set-up his systems and work out what we need.

Think he scored a great goal when Turkey won in Germany last year.

Unfortunately too many of our squad have needed major surgery.

I wish we had taken a look at Nestory Irankunda of Adelaide United before Bayern Munich got in there to sign him.

At just turned 18 a month ago, & with three years of playing experience already under his belt, he really is looking an explosive talent with some fairly consistent end product.

Granted, he is still raw, but with his electric pace, strength & ability on the ball, along with shooting boots that produce plenty of thunder-bastards, I fear that we have missed out on a proper little gem who would not have cost much in the grand scheme of things before Bayern swooped...

Yeah, as if you really watch the Australian League.

Ha!

Its disappointing Irankunda was missed, as we clearly have people over there to pick up Gauci...

Atairos eh?  Hopefully means we have money to spend and won't have to sell anyone we don't want to.

Turkish outlet Akşam report that Villa have "agreed to pay" €30m (£25.67m) for Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu this summer. The versatile defender can also play at right-back.

If that is true I think we'll be waving goodbye to Moreno or Digne.

Can he come RIGHT NOW?

I'm 99% sure Digne is gone. He was half way back to France last summer before that other guy we were supposedly signing got injured. The way they've played this season I'd ship Moreno out first, but he was an Emery signing, so that's not happening.

He looks some player and reading the comments, it's not often you see rival fans singing the praises of a player. I can see why Unai is interested, the lad is so versatile he'll be able to play him in every position other than keeper. He's a bit small.

Well worth a watch and apparently this is how he normally plays, not some edited highlights where every player can look good in three minutes.

Didn't think it was worth its own thread. Amount each club spent on agent fees. We're 7th highest, £21m.
