Joshua Zirkzee linked. Nor me.

Pretty much every Bologna player is going to linked with a move away after the season they've had. But we're not going to spend the £50m or so they would want only for him to play second-fiddle to Watkins.

I think if anything this season has shown we need rotation in squad. If we get europe again you are not going to have ollie starting 38 games on top of the europe ones. We need two quality strikers fighting it out for every position ans that includes ollie

All the top sides have this

We're still not going to spend close to our transfer record on Joshua Kirkzee.

Oh on that point i agree they wont spend that amount but i do think there are quality strikers out there just need our scouting team to find them. Arsenal have enkiteh jesus havertz (eddie isnt great 6 goals all season)

Spurs have son and richarldson

Liverpool have a host of players that can play up top

Newcastle isak and wilson

I think manure might get someone as they need someone better and more reliable than martial

Personally i liked the look of pavlidis from AZ he looks a real handful in a shit team

Plus if we play him and Jacob Ramsey, it's only a matter of time before the "Pro-Palestine" demonstrators turn up at Villa Park. :(

Like others have said, I'm not sure we will do much business, especially with Buendia and Mings back, Ramsey too.  We also have Ned and Sousa coming in, although no idea of Emery thinks they are ready to stake a claim on a first team spot.  I think we will hunt for a DCM and either spend any money we have on that spot, or carry out a loan to cover Kamara.  Free transfers still on the cards I guess.  Hopefully, we get a few out with Dendonker, Hause, Chambers, Olsen going.  I wonder if we might let the likes of Duran, Tim and Digne go if bids come in.

I think they will both go. Not sure on Duran as he has started performing. I suspect it depend on whether his temperament will fit or if he wants to leave I suspect.

Varela looks like an Emery player to me so I can see exactly why we'd be interested.

Speaks Spanish as well.

I like an exotic player with a British first name, "His name's what?... Alan?!". Messi being called Clive would have been much better.

Lionel sounds pretty British, if you say it properly.

Would like to see Digne stay, but can see his wages being an issue and him leaving.

Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries might be a target for Aston Villa and the Italian club would consider an offer of more than 30m euros for the 27-year-old Netherlands international, whose contract with the Serie A club runs out in 2025. (Calciomercato)

It would. As a 25 year old you could build a team around Luiz.

Has Ferdi Kadıoğlu been mentioned? It seems we're interested. As ever, I have no clue who he is.

If i were a manager, I'd be tempted to put together a starting XI which uses every form of accented vowel present in European languages. But I'm a bit OCDish.

His Youtube video shows him playing at both right and left back, so I guess that would be quite handy.

His Wiki says he plays in midfield and on the wing too. Maybe he's got a couple of brothers we could use!
