If Diaby is driven by the financial benefit of playing in the Saudi league, why did he choose to come to us last season? This is just a rehash of last season's story.

If Duran is rated at £40m then Diaby is worth significantly more. He'll only be sold if the club thinks it can get better.

Why would a normal Muslim family feel less happy in Birmingham than in an incredibly restrictive desert dystopia? I know it's meant well, but to my mind it's a bit like saying Christians should move to Utah - it's better to be somewhere you can practice your own vision of the faith, no?

I'm loathe to given credence to Tim's latest theories - but a few of the players who moved last summer did say that moving to a Muslim country was part of their reason for going. I think Benzema was definitely one of them.

And I've heard many of them actually find it miserable, because life there turns out to be rather different from going for tea with your mates in Cairo, say.

If Diaby is sold that’s it I am out of this club. Anyone wants to hire 3 season tickets seats next season? (Hire charge is face price plus 200%)

No doubt. But it doesn't mean that the idea of it couldn't be appealing.

What's strange is that the Saudi's have been interested in Diaby for a while now. If we had to sell a player to comply with PSR.. why wouldn't we have just moved on from Diaby instead of losing Dougie?
Isn't Diaby a muslim ? That may or may not have a bearing on the Saudi links.

Why?

Is that the reason you don't like him?

For the same reason Catholic players want to play for Roma, any Jerusalem club or in Santiago de Compostela. Obviously.

Derry City will do fine, ta.

Sure, no denying that. I just wonder if the word is spreading.

Any player who says that is talking bollocks. European countries are much more Muslim than Saudi fucking Arabia. Much more freedom to practice your faith as you want to.

Yep, but it's a simple, and easily accepted, lie to tell people if you want to pretend you aren't just going for the money.
