Chambers officially off - no mention of another club on the OS so assume we’ve released him.

Anything north of £55M and I would personally drive him to Jeddah or Riyadh

Good job the club's decision makers didn't listen to people like you with Leon Bailey!

Coopers Injury used to troll us by repeatedly talking about Jermaine Beckford. Now his latest incarnation goes on and on about Diaby. Lucky us.

I hope they don't have internet access there.

19 goals and assists. 25. Loads of potential. Sell him for £5m profit? Why?

The fact you have Coopers Injury trolling on this for months should be enough to convince you of what a stupid idea it is to recycle talented players as if they're as readily available as Tesco meal deal.

But I want daddy to buy me a BIGGER pony.

That’s not what people are saying though is it? The sensible ones anyway. I think the feeling is, if he wants to go let him as long as the numbers are right. That has to be the case for every player really as we don’t want anyone who wants to be elsewhere. Diaby would be less of a loss than a fair few of the others.

It's true he hasn't always looked happy (or was it just a lack of confidence?), and also not quite on the same wavelength as his teammates, from a technical standpoint.

But it would be a shame if he wasn't to realise his potential (which most seem to agree he has) with Villa, even with the cash in the bank to soften the blow.

Exactly - Diaby contributed far more than Bailey did in the first season. It was well over a season before Bailey stepped up.

It might not necessarily be an on-the-pitch thing..

I wouldn't wish that particular road trip on Paul Tait.

Then we need to grow the stable and paddock. Selling quality players isn't going to help.

But we’ve only got room for 25 ponies.

I don’t think we badly need much else at all. A more reliable 2nd choice keeper but otherwise just replacement if anyone significant leaves and we then look light in that area. What we do need is a squad full of players that are content. Obviously, by the sounds of it, Duran needs to go for that reason, and he’s another with lots of talent.

I think we're getting dangerously close to saddling the site with a pun fest.
