Honestly the idea of Olsen being out number 2 next season is not at all crazy. He's a fine keeper, it's other areas we need to strengthen.

Wow, if he’s fine then I’m sublime

We were linked to a Brazilian goalkeeper who RCF said is too good to be a number 2.

My mate is convinced we comply with PSR and there is no need to sell to balance the books but there is if we want to bring in significant signings this summer.
The rumors all feel a bit like when Arsenal offered 40 million and £1 for Suarez thinking it was his release clause and it actually wasn't.

Edit, He's not ITK just a finances geek

I've been convinced by what I've read on here that we comply.

I buy into the theory that Luiz rejected the offer of a new contract so we decided to sell.

And I agree with your mate that I think they're planning on using our position as a CL side to spend big, making the most of 5-year amortisation.

Me too. I think selling Luiz is more about us going on a spending spree this summer than it is complying with FFP.

We're the Villa and we're taking over.

Nice. Good player, I wonder which of our current two will be sacrificed?

Err...that's a lot of money to spend on a position in which we already have two good options. I'm sure he's good but is this sensible?

Also where does this leave Iling Jr? I don't know, we're losing our best midfielder and replacing him with Luton's best, and splurging on left backs. It's a bit weird. Let's hope it all takes shape by the end of the window, early days yet.

Wow! That’s a stunning signing if it happens. If it means we have to pay WM what Juve owe him to clear PSR issues, then we need to do it.

Both possibly. Digne, older big money wanted to move back to France. Moreno allegedly would like to move back to Spain. Maatsen and Iling-Jr to be the options going forward.

When players get punished for being late for training he’s the one that holds the money.

I think Iling Junior will be played further forward, he looks like an orthodox winger.
