Missed most of the second half, how did Rogers and Tim perform?

Late introductions so didn’t set the world alight but always good to get the minutes in.Rogers showed some good anticipation and positioning to get a shot in but unfortunately skied it.

Ah ok. Thought they might have come on, certainly Tim anyway, a little sooner.

Tim was on 71 minutes so, yes admittedly a bit more time. Nothing spectacular but got minutes in (happy to be corrected by others).
Rogers can on 81 minutes.

Tim keeps things ticking over and does the simple things well, which is what I reckon he's told to do.  I hope we can beat Chelsea so Tim gets a run out against Leeds or Plymouth in the next round of the Cup.  Be great to see him get 90 minutes under his belt.  Rogers played ok, shame about the skied chance but the ball was just a tad behind him.

Cracking performance, you can only beat what's put in front of you and we certainly did just that.  Some quality goals too.

TI looks pretty calm on the ball, seems to have a presence about him

It doesn't feel like it, but we have kept 6 clean sheets in our last 12 games.

Its true, they were abject but a couple of our goals were sublime.
Bring on the ,  Cockneys and Newton heath time to finish the job.

Startling how different they were from the side that cane to Villa Park just over a month ago.

Behind him, it was on a plate.

i don't think he had much involvement bar that chance . It was marginally behind him that cut back needed to be going into his stride

One for the doubters. Onwards and most definitely upwards!

That was proper big boy stuff. Respond to a poor spell with a real funeralling against relegation candidates. Ruthless stuff, totally without ruth.

We'll have harder days for sure, starting next week, but it's nice to see our slump has its limits. We were far, far too good for them today.

That was not entirely unsatisfactory.

Agreed. Just what we needed after failing to turn up against Newcastle. The other positive was even though we didn't run riot 2nd half the subs fitted in better than they have done previously. Not perfect and not that we should expect like for like but better.

It was a perfect situation in which to bring on Tim and Rogers.

How on earth did we not beat them 5 weeks ago?
