Dougie’s pass for the second goal was pure sex.

5 weeks ago, they didn't play to win but to keep us out as much as possible or at worst case, keep the score down as they were only 6 points from safety and away match points are a bonus. Even then they needed a weird VAR choice of judging phases of play and an incompetent ref, plus us missing Torres, Tielemans and Kamara and most players out on their feet after the tough finish to the year.

This match, anything less then three points wouldn't do as they are 10 points off safety so they had to be more open, plus McGinn was in a more favoured position and Tielemans to play the passes more decisively through midfield.

I think we can safely say that the buy back obligation for Cameron Archer is going to be triggered.

Pretty much this I think. When you have a match like this - which over the decade, we've been on the other end of - where an upper-league team plays a relegation candidate, the best chance the latter has is to grow in confidence by keeping it tight throughout the game. Exactly that happened at VP, and exactly the opposite happened today.

Highly likely. One of the reasons Cam is on the bench as Wilder is already planning for next season in the Championship without him.

Fantastic performance, only the FA Cup replay stopped us from getting 8 or more.

Must have really p*ssed off the big guns beneath us with an eye on that 4th spot. A bonus.

That is one of kinder ways I would describe Wilder.

They had absolutely nothing up front and neither me or the Sheffield Utd supporter I was sitting with could believe Wilder didn’t make the change earlier. They were scared to come at us after the initial avalanche but Archer offers a bit of pace and can get you up the pitch. The difference between Wilder and Emery is embarrassing. I’ve always wondered why English coaches don’t go abroad to try and improve.

Paul Lambert went to Barcelona once.
