Best performance for me was the lady Sky presenter‘s blouse.

Sorry, old skool.

Redemption week against the two Uniteds.

One down.  The big one on Sunday.

Yes hopefully we manage it a bit better than the Newcastle game.

Just what we needs after our wobble. Shame Morgan didn't stick his chance away and Diaby didn't really do much, but can't have everything.

Aston Villa became the first team to score as many as four goals in the opening 30 minutes of a Premier League away game since Chelsea against Bolton in October 2011

Was sat with the enemy above the Villa fans. I had the choice of a seat after the 4th.
They were woeful but the goals were top notch. Then we controlled it and played in 1st gear for the rest of the game. Hope Konsa isn’t too bad as he looked in some pain when he went down.

We had 1 run of 3 straight defeats and one of 2. Great managers like Emery find ways to fix issues quickly. We played with precisely the right attitude today. We played like a team vying for a top 4 spot against a team battling relegation. And had big decisions gone our way in the game at Villa Park we’d have smashed them there too. Well done boys. Great win. Let’s smash Chelsea next.

Excellent stuff but the main narrative, and perhaps justifiably so, will be how abject Sheff Utd were - though the strange thing was that all our finishes bar the first goal, McGinn’s tap in, were superb, in contrast to recent weeks when we’ve been suspect in front of goal. None of those four goals were straightforward. So it could easily, despite our good play, dominance, and Sheff U’s woefulness, have been 1-0 instead of 5.

So the story of the game IS also our excellent finishing.

UTV!

ruthless finishing - we create chances every week, stay that clinical and we finish top 4.

Five quality goals, we looked fantastic going forward but Sheffield were poor.
