He must have a really fulfilling midweek hobby for those midweek European dates next season.

Every fucking time every fucking time we stick our heads above the parapets they chop it off. Started with Yorke and Milner and Young and Delphi and Grealish and now Rogers. It’s an absolute skewed playing field.

Always the selling club! Nothing changes despite CL football.
That’s how I feel too. We’ve done everything that can be done, big club, brilliant manager, top 4 and CL to look forward to, hold a European trophy. Thats what most players want. And we still lose a player of his calibre to a team that can’t offer any of that. What’s the point?? He’s dead to me now, like Grealish before him and I wish him nothing but failure in the rest of his career

In the nicest possible way, because I get it, but what do you want or expect?! Man Utd, Bayern Munich, Juventus...they're all selling clubs. We're selling for huge money, like they do.

Real Madrid and maybe Barcelona are the only clubs that aren't 'selling clubs'.

He's been an excellent player for us. He's a big part of winning a trophy after 30 years and being in the CL again. There's a reason he played 55 out of 55 last season before missing the final game. Doesn't mean his leaving is the end of the world but trying to pass him off as anything other than excellent for us is like saying you didn't fancy him/her anyway after being rejected in a pub.
Or someone sees him and others differently to you.

Well they’d be wrong.
Or you could be.

No, they are. He’s really good, and has some pretty unique skills. That’s why a team is willing to pay of £100m over for him, and why Unai played him all the time. It’s shit he’s going, and hopefully we’ll use the money to make the squad stronger in the round, but anyone implying it’s not a big deal or he wasn’t that good is deluding themselves.

Yeah, he's a brilliant player. Mad to say otherwise.

Do you think Unai is wrong considering he played him in 55 consecutive games last season?
I do rate him overall but not as much as you. Whilst seeing all the good, and there are some glorious moments in games I still remember the games where his performances were plagued by erratic passing, hesitation in the final third, losing possession and tendency to drift out of crucial matches.. As excellent at times he has been in games I think the ropey performances have balanced out opinions on him, some love him so don't, and I don't think anyone is right or wrong. Wouldn't want to sell him if it was as simple as sell or keep but manager aside if someone asked me one player you wouldn't want to leave it would of probably been Youri over Rogers ( but I think Gomes is going to be class in Youris role ).

Yeah, he's a brilliant player. Mad to say otherwise.

He’s often a great player but look at the first half in the game tonight. He has been absolutely anonymous.

While he can be brilliant there were too many games where he had no impact. When i first heard he was going I was convinced it was Arsenal, Chelsea would have been at the bottom of my list. Money talks i suppose but it just makes me hate them just a little bit more.

Every player has his price.  Shame Rogers is going but I expect a couple of exciting weeks and Unai will bring in players to reshape the squad, which we all know, needed doing.
