Been an excellent player for us and will probably only get better. But if he really thinks Chelsea are better than us then fuck him.

He's been an excellent player for us. He's a big part of winning a trophy after 30 years and being in the CL again. There's a reason he played 55 out of 55 last season before missing the final game. Doesn't mean his leaving is the end of the world but trying to pass him off as anything other than excellent for us is like saying you didn't fancy him/her anyway after being rejected in a pub.

Yup.

If he'd gone abroad I'd wish him luck and hope he'd be successful. Given where he's gone, I hope both he and Chelsea crash and burn.

Every fucking time every fucking time we stick our heads above the parapets they chop it off. Started with Yorke and Milner and Young and Delphi and Grealish and now Rogers. It’s an absolute skewed playing field.

Always the selling club! Nothing changes despite CL football.
That’s how I feel too. We’ve done everything that can be done, big club, brilliant manager, top 4 and CL to look forward to, hold a European trophy. Thats what most players want. And we still lose a player of his calibre to a team that can’t offer any of that. What’s the point?? He’s dead to me now, like Grealish before him and I wish him nothing but failure in the rest of his career

And Unai.

But me and Unai know more than anyone else, it's why we're paid the big bucks.

He has been excellent. When he was on form he was the best young player in the league.

What can also be true is that he's been out of form for some time. Whether that's because of injuries to other midfielders,   or him being injured, I don't know. I'm sure our incoming players will have their strengths and weaknesses, but hopefully they stay at the top of their game more consistently than Rogers.

We actually won something while he was with us, which surely is the point. We're selling from a position of strength, it doesn't mean we'll spend the proceeds perfectly in every case, but im liking what I've seen from olabe so far.

Also, this sort of sale happens to pretty much every club. Liverpool used the coutinho money to bring in players that ultimately won them the league. We are in a far better position to deal with this (and the loss of tielemans) than at any other time that I can remember since starting to follow the club

I kinda thought his poor form at the start of the season was because he thought he was going last summer. And when all the rumours started this summer, I suspected his patchy form at the end was because his head was elsewhere.

I think it suits us and him, really.

The type of player he is means he can look utter bobbins as he is always looking to make things happen rather than be safety first, so when he and other players are off it then it just looks crap. The payoff is that when it comes off you score screamers, end up in the CL and with a trophy n the cupboard.

Rogers going was always on the cards and he will be massively missed. He’s been a super player and at times a joy to watch. He’s been pretty prolific with goals and assists from his position and he draws defenders around him which opens up space for our players. Don’t forget quite often teams doubled up on him.

Hes going to be very hard to replace.

Do you think Unai is wrong considering he played him in 55 consecutive games last season?
