We need better as he still gives the ball away too much.

I’m assuming you mean Buendia? Equally so, the thread title qualifies.

He puts in the Man of the Match performance in a cup-winning final, scoring a sublime goal, and we are already back to him not being good enough.

 :(

Except that wasn't what was said.

Sky doing everything but paying for him to move themselves . "Villa will listen to offers" they understand

They've probably been reading the Summer transfer thread on here.

I've enjoyed watching this kid over the last 2.5 years. When he's in full flow running on the ball it's an absolute joy. I'd prefer we keep him and he's a top level player for us for the next ten years. Having said that, if someone comes in with silly money, which isn't 80m, it's 130m, and just as importantly it's a move Rogers himself wants, then I think we have to do it. As a business which is trying to grow under strict parameters, you need to be banking and reinvesting that.

Whatever happens, it's good for the club anyway.

Presumably it’s his agent briefing sky sports etc.

Is it 20 per cent we have to give to Middlesbrough?

I suppose it will all come down to what clause he has in his contract.

I think it is 20% to Boro, and they have to give 25% of that to some outfit called Manchester City?

West Brom get a fat, slap in the face, the mugs.  8)

If it's 20% to Boro then the fee ought to be at least 100m, if not 120m.

I'd say £120m only gets you a seat at the table to open negotiations on the possibility of buying him.

They don't need the cash, they know what they are after all, which I'm sure is the most important thing to them.
