There's a flaw to the voting system. The ex-players/journalists have too much focus on the big clubs/leagues and maybe their own quirky club/country. Cumulatively that means loads of votes for the big clubs.

To be fair, a lot of midfielders wouldn't get in to our starting XI.

A good deal of that is surely down to the coaching being so amazing that the team is greater than the sum of its parts. But it's also because we do have sensational footballers. There aren't many players I'd swap with Rogers, McGinn, Tielemanns and Kamara.
