So was my mate Pork Steve. It's about what they do/did, not what they might have done.

What happened to Pork Steve - women, drink, gambling or drugs?

Yes, Monday-Friday. But he goes hard at the weekend.

There will no doubt be bids in the Summer. The media will report the Ł100m release clause and Chelsea, Man City and Real Madrid will want/bid.

Especially if he has a good world cup he is off. Same with Emi to be fair.

I'd rather him go Bayern than those named.

Nothing morally preferable about Bayern to any of those others honestly! But yes, abroad is always better than domestic shame.

The piece in another thread (the Emery one?) said Man City were keen on him last summer.  They’ll be even keener now.

If we get into the CL again, you’d like to think he’ll be happy to stay.  But it hardly ever works like that does it... You’d also like to think players would see the likes of Isaak going to Liverpool and (so far) being a massive let down and think twice about moving clubs.  But alas they all do tend to think they’ll be fine.

Anyway, nowt we can do about it.  Win us the league (or Europa cup) please.

He'll win us the league, then win the World Cup. We'll keep him for two more seasons before a world record transfer, probably to Blues at that point. Then we'll have that lad from Brazil ready to go in his place.

If I recall, Pep makes a habit of having a quick word in his shell like after each game we play against them.

But would you bet your medium term career on Pep still being there in 1, 2, 3 years' time?

He does that with any player he thinks is good and they all seem to lap it up.

By the time they’re in that stadium footballers will be AI automatons.

I'm waiting for them to announce it will actually be a virtual stadium, and the match will take place on a pitch surrounded by a green screen. And they'd still have loads of empty seats.

Does it catch a tiny deflection off the defender’s heel?

I don't think so, it's just the low back lift minimal follow through technique he's developed that creates a punch effect that causes the ball to wobble in its flight.
