A trophy is more important than 4th place.

Regardless, moving the Liverpool game to Monday is a blessing in this instance.

Yes, and by Monday 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' will be well apprised of the fact that they are not winning the league or finishing second, and will thus be on the ferry across the Mersey when we play them.

I gotta be honest i prefer we take Thursday game seriously.  As i think if we can over turn this we will win the cup.

We could just play a weakened team and lose to liverpool anyway so why not go for it?

Because we simply can’t afford ( literally) to cock up the 4th place

But we could rest players vs olympiakos and still lose against liverpool so why throw a good opportunity for a trophy?

Id rathee we try win this game as i truly do believe if we find the energy and put a performance in we can win.

Watching greek tv they are already preparing for final. They think the ties done.

Hopefully their players have that complacent attitude and it comes back to kick them in the teeth.

I don’t think he’s got many options as to what sort of team to put out on Thursday
If your fit you play

Hypothetical. If by some set of results we win the Conf League but also qualify for the Champs League who does our Europa League place for winning the Conf League go to?

He could play Duran to be more direct and fix them with a different system.

He’s fresh and unlikely to feature in our best XI against Liverpool.

I've always said the British Museum would make a great pub for Villa fans in London to meet up in.

When you think about it, it must be an absolute bastard being Greek. Cos when you or me don't understand something, we can just say "well this is all Greek to me", but when your guy from Athens gets some flat pack furniture which he can't understand the instructions to ... Well when he says "it's all Greek to me" then his missus will say "crack on then" and he's just got to kind of grin & bear it hasn't he? And it's not even like he can say "none of this is Greek to me" because that also means they understand it.

Probably why all those old buildings they've got there have fallen down - the acropolis and that. Same reason as my wardrobe is a bit dodgy, I didn't really understand the instructions but just powered on through anyway.
