Currently in a queue just to get on the website to get a home leg ticket.

I had that yesterday afternoon, but when I looked again last night it was back to normal.

I was logged in at quarter-to ready to start hitting F5.  There's still plenty left.

Only looked in a block in upper north and upper holte, as you say plenty left. Sure it’ll be pretty much a sell out.

Managed to get a ticket! 1st European game of the season, travelling solo as my usual mate's I go with couldn't get it off work.

Does anyone know what the usual is for getting to the game? Is it like a normal English away day and everyone makes their way to the ground when they want? Or do we get taken in a large group?

Also does anyone know where the pubs Villa Fans will be drinking are going to be?

Appreciate any help

I wish you lot were being truthful. You’re not really going to Amsterdam for the footie are you??!!

Amsterdam is particularly well-served when it comes to museums, with ones dedicated to Rembrandt, Van Gogh & Anne Frank.

Usually a central "fanzone" close to where we collect our tickets, and so the police can keep an eye on us and then buses from there to the stadium....and back? I heard that away fans were kept in for 45 minutes after the end of their games recently...they did something like that at Alkmaar and it was all very light touch, unlike the ridiculous heavy handed police tactics in Warsaw!!! I expect MANY Villa fans to be in Amsterdam without tickets (as in Alkmaar) and hopefully they will all be chatting with the locals and sharing a united hatred for, well, Yanited etc!

There are lots of pubs in Nieuwmarkt square from where you can get a direct metro to the station. Also Zeedijk which starts across the road from central station and ends in Nieuwmarkt.

the Heineken museum is good if you get time

Especially if it's your birthday.

Brouwerij 't IJ would be my recommendation from our last trip.

Good beer, good cheese, good pigs head all in a big windmill.

Was a good few years ago so no idea if it's still good now.
