mentioned in the other games thread. Legia swapped 4 players at half time. Either they were playing a very weakened squad at the start, or the manager saw what was needed to get back in the game and made the changes which nullified Molde and got Legia on the attack.

Yes, we met him too.  It takes all sorts to make a world as my mom used to say.  I was told that he got his name by being the bloke that grassed up Carew to MON for being in the lap dancing club.  No idea if it's true though.

I know Sniper, and he certainly lived up to his reputation in Mostar. The last I saw of him that day was a few hours before kick off when we showed a few of us his lucky underpants, in situ so to speak, around that plaza where we were told to drink. He’s a good lad and even better company before the first 10 pints😂

He may well have grassed John Carew up because he certainly gets around a bit, but he didn’t get his nickname that way… that was for a comment completely politically incorrect these days which is best left in the previous century!
