I'm in Warsaw this weekend and it seems Legia are at home. Might go in a Villa shirt and defend the honour of our mayonnaise.
Villa shirt, no. Black shirt and you’ll be just another ****** in the crowd providing you can jump about like a 5 year old for entire 90 minutes regardless of what’s going on the pitch.

It strikes me that this is quite a moody competition.

Sometimes moody can be hot.
Yeah I quite like it.

I was in Mostar and it was tremendous. Heard about some issues but didn't see anything. Never been quite sure if the bloke who couldn't stay upright by the old bridge around midnightish got back OK but he seemed to know where he was going as he swayed off into the night.

If that’s the bloke we saw around midnight he had lost his passport. Some blokes found him and brought him into the restaurant we were eating in to get him some food.

That was the old bloke wasn't it? This was a younger bloke, absolute unit. He was first person we spoke to when we arrived on the afternoon then saw him again in almost the exact same spot on the old bridge. Soon became apparent he was hammered but he wouldn't say where he was staying and seemed determined he could get there himself.

What's their Ultras being mardy arses got to do with Warsaw Police ability to police their city with hundreds upon hundreds of officers for days on end while we're there?

A few people still had problems there despite the very obvious police presence Ads, though I didn’t hear of anybody being seriously hurt. I know 3 different people who were cornered / attacked / slightly injured. Somebody on here also reported a group of 4 lads who were attacked  by their hotel - Percy reported it IIRC.  It would be on a different scale if we played them again.

I think it was me that reported it Pat.  I was out in Legia with my good mate AV82EC and we had a great time. But I do know of people that had a bit of bother.

Sorry to you and Percy for mixing each other up!

Ads, did the Villa fan get caught on his own in the old town? Gavin from the London lions got cornered by 5-6 blokes there before the game and had the flag nicked.

No worries Pat.  it's easily done on here!

A young couple in my local in Streatham bumped into him in Sarajevo. A week later, I think!

Especially at my age!

Yes the bloke who lost his passport was probably mid 60s at least. At least he looked it that night!

We took a 20second stroll up to the old bridge around 1:30am that Thursday night ( I needed air after the smoky bars) and there was nobody there so the bloke you’re talking about had gone by then. Or was lying in a dark doorway….

Smoky bars! We have them here. They're fun in a blast-from-the-past kind of way. For five minutes. And then you wonder why it was ever allowed to happen anywhere.

Considering Legia have a ban on travelling fans there appears to be a good few hundred segregated behind one of the goals.

And 2 down after 20 minutes thanks to some Olsen-esque goalkeeping. Could be fun later.

3-0 after 20 mins so I don’t think we’ll be seeing them again.
