Weird that… I think the games playing out of position will have helped his progress.  the adverse noise has hopefully made him more determined and thickened his skin.  Next step is to add some arrogance, so he feels he belongs.

Defo a DCM.  His distriution and control is obviously enhanced by playing alongside the coolest player at the club, but he's really coming of age this season.  Props to the lad.

He didn't really have a bad game at centre half either and lets not forget his games at right back were his first handful of appearances so you're not comparing apples to apples.

I suspect he'll play there more than anywhere else but I still think his ability to slot in as CB or RB will play a big part for us over the next few years.

Always thought he was the standout player from his group. Today, for the first time at this level,   showed why.

Reminds me a bit JJ who didn't seem to have any particular attributes when he first got into the team. Then seemingly from nowhere, started running past players & went up a couple of levels. Hopefully this is the same.
