Whilst the away form.could be better, I'm sure every team has something it needs to work on. Just looked at the table again and you know what, we're doing ok.

I don't think anybody has said we're not. But if we want to do even better, then the away form needs to improve. Emery has said this himself several times, so take it up with him.

I was reading some stuff about teams that were top of the league at Christmas and I can't remember which year, but Liverpool only lost 2 games all season, they finished second and it was a string of draws that cost them.
It sounds obvious but it only takes a few losses to take you out of the title race completely, but draws will keep you there or there abouts but ultimately cost you in the end. We really need to be winning a lot more away games.

I've mentioned before that Man Utd finished comfortably in 4th place last season, whilst picking up only one point away from home against teams who finished in the top nine. At the moment we are more or less accomplishing the win at home draw away formula required for a place at or near the top, in the context of the season's endeavours a draw tomorrow would not be at all a bad result.

We haven't played consistently well in a single away game yet, even the games we've won. So we really need Emery to get the form up to something approaching the home form, as there's no really good reason for it not being. The results and performances against Wolves, Forest and Bournemouth weren't great, let's not add Brentford to the list of underwhelming teams we've failed to beat away.

Burnley probably the one game you could say we played well from the start and deserved to win. The others we didn’t do so well or rode our luck if we won.

In my opinion the only thing that stops us winning tomorrow is attitude
If we go out with the same attitude as we did against Arsenal and Man City we will win
But I’ve noticed away from home and especially against forest The body language is that of ‘ we’er better than you’ We’ve come to win without really trying very hard.

I know it doesn’t come from the manager but players can think they don’t have to be 100% at it, they become sloppy, and a little bit arrogant because they know they are better players, but in this league your attitude has to be spot on or we don’t win

Dendonker in for Luiz isn't exactly seamless, think we may need to be s bit more creative unless we are going to grind out a win. As long as 3 points is the end result it doesn't really matter

Really don't get the nervousness , if we have any aspirations of top 4 looking at their depleted side we have to win this. we should go into this confident

Ill always be nervous before nearly all Villa games, adrenalin and all that. Its not about not having faith in the team or anything  like that. If I could be bothered to do a half arsed pyscho analysis of myself, the conclusion would be it’s probably part of the enjoyment.

Not sure how anyone is confident when we are out four starters and away. Sphincter already tight.

I have a weird feeling that we just might be about to witness UE's first ever 0-0 in England...

I think we'll win the league before we have a 0-0

It would be sensational if we can even go up one spot this weekend let alone find ourselves top. But there is a chance.

Win tomorrow, then beat Sheffield United  on Friday and we're top for the night whatever happens. Then the day after Liverpool and Arsenal play each other, so we'd be second at least.

Just sensational whatever happens how much we’ve improved and how far we’ve come in just over 12 months. Tomorrow will be bloody hard, but we should beat Sheff Utd. Even 4 points from these two games would be ace.

Against a team who are missing, what, seven first team starters? Nah, if we can't beat them tomorrow we may as well give up. All we need is a team of SJM's. 0-4 Villa. And I'm giving full respect to Brentford Nylons. A well run club and all that jazz..
