Is Ben Mee fit to play? If so, unleash Matty Cash

We haven't played consistently well in a single away game yet, even the games we've won. So we really need Emery to get the form up to something approaching the home form, as there's no really good reason for it not being. The results and performances against Wolves, Forest and Bournemouth weren't great, let's not add Brentford to the list of underwhelming teams we've failed to beat away.

Burnley probably the one game you could say we played well from the start and deserved to win. The others we didn’t do so well or rode our luck if we won.

We just seem to become a bit ragged at times  away from home when we are put under pressure and just need to develop the ability to tighten up and hit teams on the counter for periods of the game.

Try and not concede early. Happened too often away from home in league

Yep scoring first is really important - is in most games, but in terms of momentum away it’s really key.

It would be very Aston Villa to have suddenly garnered TONS of content discussing whether we are title contenders, in both traditional and digital media, only to go on to limp to a piss poor defeat at Brentford.

I'm fully expecting this to happen.

On the other hand Wolves are a very decent side at times and Bournemouth have proved to have turned a corner. The Forest game was a disaster. However the team must have discussed this as McGinn mentioned our away form needing to improve in an interview this week.

If you look at the teams around us, we're all only a few points apart which means others have dropped points at various stages as well. Man City have less points as they've ever had at this stage under Guardiola apparently. We've also had the extra games to contend with as well. The manager wants the away from the improve but at the same time, three defeats in 16 up to now is a positive way of looking at it.

Bournemouth have won 4 out of their last 5 games, with our draw away to them now looking a very good point.

If we want to be top 4 contenders we have to start taking 3 points in these sort of games.

Hopefully, Tiliemans and Bailey both make it. Tielemans being out as well would weaken the midfield a tad with Doug already being out.

I've gone for a draw, as I did with the last two games. A win would be brilliant to set the tone for the festive period, and hopefully we're looking back tonight saying it was a good time to play Brentford with their injuries.

Very nervous about this one, its the kind of game we should be bang up for and expect the result, then play really badly and lose.

Think we will stamp our authority on the game early on through likes of Watkins and McGinn.

Win lose or draw when we look at the table at the end of the day we will still be doing well

And I think that’s the problem if we are to be top four contenders or even better We need to win these games, we need to be demanding and pushing on like Emery keeps saying
If we lose, there should be a fall out there should be an inquest there should be big disappointment all round, we as fans must become as demanding as the manager
Just going back to ‘well we’re doing okay’  isn’t good enough anymore

We are one of the big boys and we are in with the big boys right now for the first time in a very long time
So we need to go to Brentford 100% focused, take the points go Top next Friday, no excuses
