Whatever you say, Unai is certainly 'connecting with the fans' with his selection.

But seriously, who are we to question the guy? Fourth in the league, top of our group in Europe. We're a bunch of peons complaining about a wizard.

I'm not sure Arsenal are any more or less beatable than Man City at the moment, so it won't be that.  It might be saving Cash to line up against Martinelli though.

Yeah that was thought too, especially with Doku likely out for them.

I'm weirdly not nervous at all.

Neither am I. A win would be awesome, but we’re playing a very good side with a cheat code up front. Losing tonight would only piss me off if we’re totally out of the game early on.

Pep was pretty defiant yesterday saying that they will win the league, so they'll be well up for it. When push came to shove last year they simply twatted Arsenal 3-1 and 4-1, so I won't get too despondent whatever tonight's outcome.

If you don’t play your strongest team for this occasion when would you. ?
I'm sure there is no such thing for Emery. he says is a lot: players can be tired, carrying knocks or not be up for it. He is choosing this team because it is the one he wants to start with, given all the different factors under consideration.
Any road up, FTFBMF!

I don’t think any of us have the right to question the team selection.
More accurately, Unai has earned the right to be trusted

This, all day long.

We absolutely have the right to question whatever the fuck we want. That said, andyh's second point is also true.

I guess he wants DC to deal with the physicality of Haaland

I was thinking a couple of weeks ago that he was integrating DC for this very reason. That’s not me saying it’s a good idea btw, we’ll see I suppose.

MON admitting he was cantankerous and shouldn't have quit the Villa. Just like most who resigned? Gregory definitely feels the same. What about Brian and Graham ?
