You can guarantee that Man U will be on the telly

Also our game against Boro will not be on the same day as Sunderland v Newcastle

Crap draw. Might be on TV though

If it's moved to Friday or Monday I might go. I'm on a job that's only 10 minutes from their ground.

I would guess the Sunderland v Newcastle game will be on the Sunday probably at 12:00.

So what happens if we win in the 3rd round?  Do we get a trophy or something?  I can't remember.

Unlikely to be Monday, Boro could have a League Cup semi on the Tuesday or Weds. Same goes for Liverpool & Newcastle though so they might not even allocate FA cup days until the do the LC SF draw the midweek before Xmas.

It'll start raining frogs and there will be a plague of locusts, or something.

Been to Ayresome Park but somehow never been to the Riverside so I am probably one of a minority not too disappointed with this draw. Should get a ticket as well hopefully with a decent allocation. Watch TV muck about with the kickoff time to make it a logistical nightmare.

Only time I went to the Riverside, it was a nightmare. Got offered out by numerous Neanderthals, including one guy who was at least 70. Must be something from the chemical plants. Coppers there had no interest in keeping the peace. Never had problems at Sunderland or Newcastle. Be careful, some of the boozers near the ground are poisonous. It was 1997 when I was there, perhaps they’ve mellowed.

I've only spent a few days up there for work about 15 years ago and it seemed a moody place, the town centre was just like a bigger Erdington.

Cheers. Ayresome Park was a bit tasty and involved having to run back to the car post match. Current thinking is I'd probably look to stay somewhere like Yarm and Uber it to and from.

We went to Ayresome Park in a cup semi final year's ago, it might have been the Simod or Full Members Cup I forget which. There can't have been anymore than 300 of us there. It took a while to persuade the steward to let us out so we could get back to the car.
