Middlesbrough will be concentrating on the League Cup Semi, rather than this match with us you'd hope.

I bet they get Liverpool in the Semi.

I was thinking about both club's priorities here. We are in the title race and have got the round of 16 for the ECL just over the horizon to think about. They are in the LC s-f and are only 6 points off the play-offs and will be looking for a good league run to try to close that gap. I can't see either club treating this match as priority or being especially bothered if they don't progress. Both I think will give a few big players a rest, at least onto the bench. With that in mind I would hope we would have enough in a second string of ours to beat one of theirs.

Selfishly I'm hoping it's a draw as a replay on Tue 16 or Wed 17 is one I could get to, although I of course accept that that wouldn't be anything the club would want

To be honest, I'm not too fussed about the FA Cup this year.

I think we have a better chance of the ECL, and if we have the chance of CL spot, we go for those two.
