What's happened to Porro's face there? Is it always like that? Is that something else Spurs can count themselves unlucky about?

He’s sprained his jaw and will be out for 9 months boohoo

I’ve haven't  seen an angle from when the ball actually left Digne’s boot either. We see the line but not the ball on his foot. Well I haven’t anyway.

You never will because they know they have no tech to prove the moment…it’s why I end up screaming at tv everytime some idiotic pundit says VAR is factual for offsides….it isn’t!!

You should have a pint with Chico Hamilton as he always says the same thing.

It has been pointed out that that terribly weakened Spurs starting 11 still cost £74m more in transfer fees that the line up Villa kicked off with...

Is that true?  On which players have they spaffed loads of cash?

I think the fact that we have moved into a top four position at this stage of the season for the first time since what 2009, and there are pages dedicated to what Jermaine bloody Jenas thinks, the media fawning over Spurs and their injuries and semantics like the severity or otherwise of their injury list over ours, shows maybe a lack of confidence on our part as supporters. There are clubs out there who are always milling around this part of the table, its parr for the course, not us for what has been a dire generation footballing wise.
We haven’t done or won anything yet and it would be small time to over celebrate something that could change within a week. At the same time, I think we should stop pontificating over what the media thinks or doesn’t think of us, or the fact they favour poor old Spurs. We should also stop worrying about what we deserved or otherwise from Sunday.
Over the last 12 months we are the second or third best team in the country, we’ve moved into the top four, we play some brilliant football. Feck everyone else and what they think, under Emery we march on.

Remember the media wankfest when Newcastle hit the top 4.
And when Brighton did, briefly.

Because they aren't big clubs. It was such a huge surprise

I agree Rambo, our collective confidence is somewhat fragile.
There is a bit of imposter syndrome about us and it’s not surprising.
I am more worried about us being bigged up by the media and it going to the players and supporters heads than us being put down and ignored. The build up to the Forest and Newcastle games showed what can happen.

Lo Celso was £42m, Porro was £40m, Johnson was £45m. Think they're the biggest ones.

What do I keep saying? For thirty-odd years our biggest opponents have been ourselves.

I don't think that this place would be a particularly interesting read if the post-match threads were nothing more than people furiously agreeing with the fact that we won.

Although for most of the last 10 years Before Emery, that wasn't often much of an issue!

We score some goals us. On course for 90 in the league this season. I recall we score 70 odd one campaign under O'Neill. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Third of the season done. Home form, sensational. Away form now gone from poor to ok with 3/1/3. Beat Bournemouth and that puts us on 50% of away games won, which is what we'd need (~9) to have a shot at top 4. Given how we've started, we'd need 9 more wins out of the remaining home games to finish on 70 points + if we maintain that away form. Would you want to bet against us?

I thought Torres' header was fantastic for the goal, even better when you see he was having the shirt pulled off him at the time. That special upper body workout he's on must be paying off.

The shirt on the extreme right is also nearly being ripped off the player. Obviously, if Torres hadn’t scored, we’d have been given a penalty…
