We're trying to go forward too quickly, bypassing the midfield and straight to their centre backs

Maybe Z on for Diaby (a bit more muscle) and McGinn onto the right?

they're doing a job on McGinn today. rotational fouling.

Exactly what I said to my dog. He howled in agreement, but that might be because he wants to go out for a walk.

We have 2 yellow cards already, and they are doing most of the fouling.

I think right now it boils down to whether Emery trusts Tielemans. Him on for Diego Carlos.

Pau's passing has been awful, manages to find their centre backs every time. Carlos quite poor in that regard as well.

Weird half. Started well the opening 10-15 mins, been scrappy with Wolves on top since, yet they've had 2 shots to our 8. Diaby and Watkins not in the game at all.

Pretty much it. We need better movement and midfield players with a bit more confidence to carry the ball. Torres is a concern with his shocking distribution. Carlos looks solid and calm, everybody else in panic made.

Only real option on the bench is Zaniolo, nobody else fills me with confidence to change the game. First goal will decide this game.

need to get Diarby involved. get it to his feet with a couple of options around him, preferably instead of the big diagonals

Wolves have turned it into a slow, niggly, scrappy wrestling match. We need to play our game a bit more and transition a lot quicker.

I assume this is how Wolves always play against better teams. Rotational fouling and tonnes of whining.

I think I'd be taking McGinn off in fairly short order, before he gets himself sent off.

They are an irritating team to play. I miss the days of Andy Mutch scoring loads for them in the lower leagues.

Right, in some sort of roast dinner and wine induced coma. Back in time for the 2nd half!

This is the sort of game where we really miss Ramsey and his direct running.
