Pissed up football fans and a buffet . What could possibly go wrong
I suspect the coke-snorting pissheads will find a better way to spend their £60.00

Ahh street food  -  the modern "seen you coming" emperors new clothes.

We did a load of work for a macaroni-based street food vendor - loads of good reviews, decent following and ultimately bought out by an investor.

However, when asking him about how he made it, expecting a story about handed-down recipes from an Italian grandmother - he told me "nah, we just buy 3kg bags of macaroni from Bookers"

Not a massive surprise, though, is it?

The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if the Witton Arms owners somehow got wind of these developments before they decided to go upmarket.
It seems entriely likely, Dave.

Now that the Witton Arms is home fans only, is there no longer an ‘away pub’?

You occasionally get the odd away fan in the Yew Tree but I wouldn’t class that as an away pub.

The Bartons gets plenty of away supporters, I remember West Ham all but taking over the bar and have seen many other fans in there. All generally well behaved it has to be said.

All you can eat 'street' food. So frozen, deep-fried/ microwaved industrial fare then.

I hope some of the punters will do a 'reel' or something. Can't wait to see the spread.

Give me one shot at this and they'll up the price in no time. I'm very much a 'challenge accepted push myself to a heart attack' kind of guy when I see 'all you can eat'.

I'm always fascinated when people choose mac 'n' cheese when out and about. It has such a low ceiling, it can simply never be THAT good. It's just stodge, yeah maybe sometimes you just want stodge but don't get ripped off for it, it's not worth it.

Let me take you by the hand and lead you through the streets of Digbeth and Hockley, I’ll show you something to make you change your mind.

There are some great ones, I've eaten from 3 of those you have mentioned. I have also eaten from some shit ones but they are generally outweighed.

Buddha Belly is amazing. Probably the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand.
