Judging from the starting 11 yesterday, I’d hate to see what Emery might put out for a league cup game. This match is probably worth about £10 entrance fee, tops.

My guess is we'll see something similar to last night. Maybe Moreno or Ramsey starting if he thinks they need more game time.

I think so too. I expect Everton won't risk many first teamers given where they are in the league.
16428 left by my calculations, there were 17900 late on Monday evening. They're selling but very slowly. Interesting to see if tomorrow night's match has any impact on sales.
16048 still for sale. That's around 2000 sold since they went on general sale.
Any update on ticket sales ?
They needed to price this better.
A crowd of 25,000 ish would send a brutal message to Mr Spreadsheet. Bring it on.
That’s less than Everton brought to VP for the LC semi in the 80’s.
In fairness they have some incredible support given how shite they are . Sold out their 4500 already
I was taking the piss from the said LC semi in 84 when they claimed to have taken way more than they did to VP. And to be fair they took a few thousand. Had the whole of the Witton Lane and more. It’s been a standing joke since. They won and went on to a great few victorious seasons after that win.
I suspect we would have taken 4,500 to Everton if it was away.
Still find it weird that it will be such a low home crowd.
Given the 33,000 on the waiting list it does make you wonder
I'm on the waiting list but also have Claret membership so can get to any home game I like, but I'm drawing a line at this one as they're taking the piss with the prices. What will be interesting is if attending the Everton game is a prerequisite for tickets should we progress to the latter stages.

It will be. If you're not a ST holder then I reckon you'll need this game to have a chance of a final ticket if we get there.
What is the capacity of Villa Park if you take the North Stand out completely?

About 35,000
So at the moment it's looking like they've sold about 20k.
i've just been having a look, I'm in a hotel in Cov with my boss (a Hammers fan) on Wednesday and he was going to come along, but not now he knows the prices. He said £20 if so was what he'd have expected for this. it would be very easy to not bother, but as I'd only have 1/5 of my normal journey I probably will bother!!! Treat myself to the lower Holte.
I’m going as it’s a chance for me and the kids to get in the upper Holte. We’ve been all over the place lately.

I would have gone upper, but apparently you can't get a beer at half time
Can't recall them pricing a game as badly as this one. Really poor decision with 3 home games in 8 days as ticket sales are showing.
Obviously expecting the 30k waiting list to fill the ground!
