I'm back in Ireland this weekend primarily for the Chocolate Mikados.

Im there this weekend, cidona and salt and vinegar taytos.

Perfectly fine, but I'd go for TK Red Lemonade and original Tayto.
Tayto Cheese & Onion + Irish Cadburys chocolate are the best things ever. Get Maine soft drinks (though I guess they might be from the north?) off the milkman and they're bloody lovely, specially the green cream soda :)

My son eats Taytos but I think they are vile

Taytos are great especially the Cheese and Onion, but in Ireland Hunky Dorys rule

You can't get this anymore, thankfully.
Looked like a bottle of stout & tasted like a bottle of dirty dish water.

3-1 villa.  Burnley really shouldn’t be spoken with in the same breath as the villa

They are fellow founder members of the football league, so they should be given respect for that.

Does this mean we have to have respect for that bus stop in Sandwell too? As I'd rather not.

I'd like to see Dave W's H&V classic fancunter post about the Albion now, one of the genuine joys of the site.

Speaking of the Sandwell bus stop, there's a distinct feel of Tony Mowbray's West Barcelona Albion about this lot as well, and I may be proven wrong but I think they'll go the same way.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. They might actually be decent, so I'll reserve judgement though until after Sunday.

Have a feeling we will deliver a reality check of PL football to them. They seemed very loose out of possession v City, granted Haaland was in fine fettle. Just think we should be too strong in midfield again, 0-3.

You'll do for me Bronte, stay on the line and we'll send you a Bronx hat.

I'm just being cautious. I saw a few of their games last year and they looked decent. They seem keen on the press and have a bit of pace. Glad they didn't get a confidence booster at Luton.

My confidence will take a blow if Olsen starts! Burnley have a whole new spine to their team from last season and that takes time to bed down. Not really sure what Kompany sees in Dara O'Shea either, from an Irish perspective hope I'm proven wrong but he never seemed PL (or international) standard to me. Watkins should be too powerful for him.

Ha its not often you're the one filling me with pre-game optimism! Was ignorant of that spine change. We're so strong in midfield that I'm hopeful their press won't be up to scratch.

Felt McGinn against Everton went up a few gears and that physical side of things played dividend. He'll be important Sunday.

Red lemonade is a great shout BV. Although Ive only ever had it as a kid on holiday in Dublin. We always go over to the Westport area as thats where my wifes family are from and Ive never seen it there, unless I havent been looking hard enough.

I'd have thought it was more a 'country' thing with TK Red fairly widely available down here. Certainly most of the pubs would have red lemonade on hand to put in the whiskey.

I could kind of understand it if you preferred King crisps. Hunky Dory's are fine (I'll have the odd bag of Flamne Grilled Steak) but mid-tier for me.

if we can handle their press and play through it, we'll be in behind numerous times - if we take our chances, we'll win.

Never heard of it, it looks like muck. I could blame Caaavan but even the big supermarkets can't seem to get their own brand cola to taste right.

Emery has said injury to Martinez is minimal….in Villa speak that means we’re unlikely to see him play before next season!!

They're all made by Tayto (Rep. Of Ireland), of course, not to be confused with Nordie Mr Tayto.
