Diffrerence being of cause, Konsa had the pace to catch Gordon whereas Torres wasn't at the races
He didnt catch him, he grabbed his shoulder from behind and pulled him back. I think I am entering a parallel dimension here.

You’re falling into the same trap as me mate, debating with the biggest twat on Here

Happy to put it to a open vote as to who people think is the biggest (massive) twat

loser has to remove himself from the site for good, and can’t come back under another name because there are some twats that have done that in the past

Yeah, let's sell him at the bottom of his value at the last minute for no profit and no time to replace him when we're already one or two defenders short.

Sure but if was at the top of his value, there'd be no need to sell!

He should not be getting bullied after 3 pre-seasons at Villa. Ample time to learn the nous of the game here and to bulk-up if necessary, fuelled by his Sunday afternoon paellas on Instagram with Rick Stein.
He certainly should not be still getting bullied after 3 seasons.
Our goals A has been pretty decent when he hasn't played lately and we seem to concede soft goals when he plays on a regular basis .

For all it feels we're dodgy defensively in our last 6 league games we've kept 4 clean sheets and conceded 3. The bigger issue is we've lost our mojo going forward. We look quite a dull side in possession.

Have we faced a top level forward in that time? If we keep defending like that we will concede loads against the better teams.

I think Mings will be ok against Palace, he didn't pick himself at RCB. That's on Emery.

Konsa and Mings back for Palace. Torres can be offloaded next summer.

I remember a couple of seasons ago, a west ham supporting mate of mine got me a ticket for the west ham villa game at the London stadium, we drew one all. I sat with a load of home supporters, after the game every one of them said what a great player Torres was, best player on the pitch. He’s low on confidence at the moment, but still a good player.

Also I would argue our inability to get the ball out of defence quickly and effectively is part of the reason our attack is floundering.

yep, we do not seem to want to transition quickly.

We don’t stretch teams, or threaten to, with pace. So they just sit and wait.

Playing Mings at RCB totally narrows the pitch as he can't open his body out (Emery should have addressed that with Bogarde for Torres at half time). Not much fun for Cash and McGinn on that side, both were ok as it turned out. Konsa will give more balance anyway but distribution isn't his strength either.

Torres distribution was appalling yesterday. Very worried about Digne too, thought he hid in all honesty. Didn't want the ball. Problems, yes!

I honestly wouldn’t be too worried about individual players. I know there are some on here who are fully anti particular players, and as a result will spin stuff into players playing well yesterday but the reality is everyone was poor. On the one hand that might be worrying, but I’d suggest that is a great indicator that it’s a system/tactical failure far more than an individual player issue.

Now clearly Unai needs to sort out that failure, and fast, but I wouldn’t be writing off individuals when the team are so obviously not functioning as a unit at the start of this season.

I think there is some disruption in the squad, there are players that have been told they are available for transfer and the selling Ramsey didn’t go down well.
Hopefully when this week is over things will settle down but he does need to rethink our style of play.
