Our goals A has been pretty decent when he hasn't played lately and we seem to concede soft goals when he plays on a regular basis .

For all it feels we're dodgy defensively in our last 6 league games we've kept 4 clean sheets and conceded 3. The bigger issue is we've lost our mojo going forward. We look quite a dull side in possession.

Have we faced a top level forward in that time? If we keep defending like that we will concede loads against the better teams.

I think Mings will be ok against Palace, he didn't pick himself at RCB. That's on Emery.

I remember a couple of seasons ago, a west ham supporting mate of mine got me a ticket for the west ham villa game at the London stadium, we drew one all. I sat with a load of home supporters, after the game every one of them said what a great player Torres was, best player on the pitch. He’s low on confidence at the moment, but still a good player.

Playing Mings at RCB totally narrows the pitch as he can't open his body out (Emery should have addressed that with Bogarde for Torres at half time). Not much fun for Cash and McGinn on that side, both were ok as it turned out. Konsa will give more balance anyway but distribution isn't his strength either.

Torres distribution was appalling yesterday. Very worried about Digne too, thought he hid in all honesty. Didn't want the ball. Problems, yes!

I honestly wouldn’t be too worried about individual players. I know there are some on here who are fully anti particular players, and as a result will spin stuff into players playing well yesterday but the reality is everyone was poor. On the one hand that might be worrying, but I’d suggest that is a great indicator that it’s a system/tactical failure far more than an individual player issue.

Now clearly Unai needs to sort out that failure, and fast, but I wouldn’t be writing off individuals when the team are so obviously not functioning as a unit at the start of this season.

On the one hand that might be worrying, but I’d suggest that is a great indicator that it’s a system/tactical failure far more than an individual player issue.

Now clearly Unai needs to sort out that failure, and fast, but I wouldn’t be writing off individuals when the team are so obviously not functioning as a unit at the start of this season.

I think there is some disruption in the squad, there are players that have been told they are available for transfer and the selling Ramsey didn’t go down well.
Hopefully when this week is over things will settle down but he does need to rethink our style of play.
