Keely wins her semi, very comfortably, looking good for Sunday.

I'm enjoying these championships very much, I like that the events come thick and fast, and everything about the venue looks great. In terms of the athletics, I much prefer the world championships to the Olympics.

The olympics is clearly a bigger event but, as with many of the sports, the more focused nature of the worlds does give it a different feel.

I haven't watched as much of the worlds as I'd like but it has been excellent when I've had chance to catch it.

Yeah, I've really been enjoying them for much the same reasons. Agree the the stadium looks great, and it probably helps that they're only an hour ahead so perfect for early evening viewing.

The women's 200m final was another good race with Jackson blowing away the field. Probably about to be replicated by Lyles in the men's.

Gutted for Hughes, just didn't quite have the extra gear in the last 50, still nice to have a genuine world-class sprinter for the UK again and hopefully he can push on again ahead of Paris next year.

He wasn’t that far off the finishers, so that should be possible, we hope!

I’m really enjoying the BBC coverage of the World Championships in Budapest.
Have had to be careful (for betting purposes) of them showing races delayed when said races have coincided with their many channel changes. Actually may have made 100 quid because of that yesterday as there was some sitting duck money on Betfair at the end of the men's 800 semi they showed delayed and I had remembered to switch to Eurosport.

7.45 Women's 800m, come on Keely, her main rivals for the gold are probably gonna be Athing Mu of the USA and Mary Moraa of Kenya, also good luck to Jemma Reekie.

The race of the Championships as far as I am concerned. A bit concerned the incessant very hot weather throughout the week may have taken it out of the Brits a bit. Also impressed with the way Mu recovered from a stumble in the semis.

But my prediction.

1) Keely Hodgkinson.

2) Mary Moraa

3) Athing Mu

4) Jemma Reekie

About 1.55

Gutted for Keely, but a silver is still a great achievement, here's hoping she goes one better next year.

Yes, it was great to see the Dutch win it, and Bol seems a very likeable athlete so pleased for her.
