Assuming Tim is back reasonably soon then it might suit us and allow him to be more integrated into the squad. Not totally against it but we do need numbers.

I like Dendoncker & think he is underrated by a lot of people, but if its a choice between keeping Iroegbunam  & letting Dendoncker leave, or the other way round, Im keeping Iroegbunam every day of the week & twice on Tuesday...

No way, Dendoncker is far more proven than Iroegbunam. We've already lost Buendia and Coutinho, unexpectedly to a degree, obviously they're not the same type of player but our numbers shouldn't be allowed dwindle further. The Donk is more than capable of playing his part in games where we look like we may be physically targeted or over-run in midfield.

Indeed.

Iroegbunam has barely kicked a ball in top flight football.

I’d be holding on to Dendoncker.

Iroegbunam was very impressive in the second tier at a remarkably young age. We have relative strength in that area - I'd bet on the young guy.

I wouldn’t be selling either of them just now

Indeed. Selling Dendonker in particular would be crazy.

I wonder whether Emery's getting a bit frustrated at how  many times he's out with injuries.

Had a quick look at the 1st team squad according to the official site. 26 players. 2 out for the season, plus Hause and Tim who've not been near the first team. Only 2 GK's one of which is Olsen. So 20 other outfield players, one is moaning already, and we have others who are coming back from injury, not long had a long term injury or are generally prone to injury. Getting rid of any more, even if they have had a few injuries themselves, would be ridiculous. A disgrace in fact.

El Ghazi will want the number 7 shirt.

Give it to him. Please!

Dendoncker might be going to Fenerbache before the Turkish window closes Friday night. We're supposedly open to doing a loan or permanent move.
Why do we seem so set on kicking ourselves in the bollocks?

I wonder whether Emery's getting a bit frustrated at how  many times he's out with injuries.

His quotes about him recently, in garbled English, seemed to suggest frustration alright. I'd like to keep him, think he's a decent player.

It does feel like we're intent on having a squad as small as possible.

I guess though - will he play ahead of someone else playing in his role?

Maybe he's just trying to get it down to fourteen.   ;)

Is the right answer... 😉
