But allows Konsa to be right back back up.

As well as we’ve done so far in the window and as well as we’re playing I’d still hope something will happen today in addition to Longlet and especially if Coutinho goes. I’ve given up on the idea of a GK and RB as nothing seems to be in the pipeline (a mistake in my opinion and it makes letting Young go baffling) but another forward is a must considering how many unknown quantities and injury hazards we have in those positions.

Lenglet is the right back, he provides cover at CB which means Konsa can slide across.

Lenglet is left footed

Dante knows - what he meant, albeit expressed a bit like the oracle at Delphi, is that the Lenglet signing fills the role of the right back signing as Konsa is the back up for that position.

Young is finished. Been poor for Everton.

It's quite difficult to look good in that team though tbf to him

I was wrong when I said I thought we were done a couple of weeks ago.  Zaniolo and Lenglet is more than I expected.  One potentially very good player and a bit of cover.

Overall I think it's been a very decent window but I still think we've left ourselves light on the left and up top.

We played Tielemans on the left last night which is something I thought they'd try, particularly against stronger teams to help give us more control.  Not his best game tbh, but if he can fill in there at a push it helps a bit.

If we had 100 players - some on here would still want more, seems as though we want to be a new Chelsea reading the comments

Bit of a silly thing to say really, most people just pointing out they'd like another forward in which is pretty reasonable and still very possible.

Everton are back in talks with Leeds over the signing of Wilfried Gnonto.

The club have not given up on signing the winger, who is one of their primary targets this summer.

Leeds have maintained that he is not for sale.

Gnonto has been reintegrated into the squad after handing in a formal transfer request earlier this month.

I like this player. Shame he'll be back in the Championship next year

I think I'd stay at Leeds if Everton were my only other option.

The problem Everton have is that it appears that they have attempted to solve their goalscoring problem with funding from selling their only decent midfielder (Iwobi). One step forwards, two steps back.

So on the other hand, if we do sign another forward today you'll be complaining that we've signed too many and the squad is too bloated, yes?

Agreed, it's unrealistic expectations given ow far we have come over the last few years.

People want a forward to replace the forward who is leaving.

I think we're done. Of those who've gone or about to go, Archer, Ramsay A, Philogene, Davis & Couthino, their combined contribution last season was negliable & it was unlikely they'd contribute this season if they'd stayed. You could add Traore to that list.

The injuries to Ming's & Buendia have meant we've had to bring in 2 players we hadn't budgeted for. Zaniolo is the Buendia replacement / Watkins backup, alongside Duran.
