Starts tonight, so not so close!
Fabrizio Romano has tweeted that we will try to complete the Marcos Acuña deal tomorrow.
I wonder whether the haste to bring him in is something to do with Moreno's injury perhaps taking longer to heal. Whilst it'd be good to get digne's wages off the books, it does seem strange to see the speed of this deal.

I think he saw Torres as a LB option, but now Mings is out, that's no longer the case.

I also don't think he's ever been entirely convinced by Digne.

I would say its something to do with the Saudi interest and us getting decent money for a player that Emery isint particularly happy with.

Lovely cross for Sevilla's goal.

Just seen a quote saying he's one of the best left wing back's in the world.

Suggests we won't try and swap sides in the asymmetric system, that with Moreno and Acuña, we'll always have an attacking left back and a defensive right side. So that might cement the idea of it either being Cash or Konsa at right back in Emery's mind. If that's the case, more reason to bring another centre back.

McCoist just talked about Acuña, saying he's very clever at fouling without actually giving away a freekick.

Not sure I agree, I think it means we'll find a squad place for Chambers that might not have been there a week ago.

But neither are good defensively at Right Back.

If we want to buy him, why wait?

Guess he only comes if Digne goes…everything has to align

Much better for us having him as RB than Cash though.

Not sure how he was supposed to pick up 3 players at once.
