Jackson isn’t super talented, but he’s consistent and works hard. As a loan that’s decent.

The Athletic still seem pretty convinced Everton are signing him.

Fabrizio seems to be backtracking a bit here

So we hadn’t realised he was out injured?

What nonsense, clearly backtracking.

Good luck in getting the Holte to sing that.

Everyone but Romano seems to know he's injured. There's zero chance that if we are interested in him, we didn't know he's injured.

Does it scream panic buy if we've apparently hijacked it at the last possible minute? Does it matter?

Interestingly just looking him up and there's a story that says we were actually interested in him earlier in the window but the perceived lack of first team opportunities made him prefer Everton.

Why is it a panic deal? Not even a buy. The club have said there are other deals being worked on and possibly this was considered due to Buendia. But I don’t see how this is panic if it’s a player that was on our list but a bit lower down that’s ok isn’t it? And he’s not immediately available I think but not a serious injury.

I didn't say it was, I just asked if it felt like one.

The fact we're trying to nick him off Everton's medical table certainly suggests it's a reactionary deal at the very least.

But all that may be irrelevant now.

You only have to look at who started this thread, it won't end well. :(

I was about to say the same.

What a nightmare start to the season he’s having.

I appreciate that in the hype=clicks=money world of social media it's how it has to be, but goodness me Romano.

"the incredible Jack Harrison saga"

I mean, yeah. The journey of Odysseus back from the Trojan war, the Epic of Gilgamesh and now the story of a two-bob winger choosing whether to sit on Villa's bench or start a few matches for Everton.

F*** off.

Nah I don’t read much into that stuff like others. Jinxes are for the weak minded. It’s all predetermined in the stars. I’m just reporting the news.

Surely our medical team have enough to be keeping them busy at the moment without another to look after.

Jack Harrison going to Everton would be a great ending to this thread.
