Bit of a strange move. Not what I was expecting really.

If Emery wants the right side to sit in then this is fine. Wouldn’t be my first choice but maybe the injuries have changed a few things.

It's a loan, option to buy but not mandatory.

Does it scream panic buy if we've apparently hijacked it at the last possible minute? Does it matter?

Interestingly just looking him up and there's a story that says we were actually interested in him earlier in the window but the perceived lack of first team opportunities made him prefer Everton.

Why is it a panic deal? Not even a buy. The club have said there are other deals being worked on and possibly this was considered due to Buendia. But I don’t see how this is panic if it’s a player that was on our list but a bit lower down that’s ok isn’t it? And he’s not immediately available I think but not a serious injury.

I just hope this doesn’t impact the Zaniolo deal

Considering their manager has said in his pressers that he's not due back to training until at least the international break then I very much doubt that we had to be informed about it or it's a late twist.

Good player but isn’t he injured?

Mediocre player, and injured.

I'd rather Bowen from West Ham

Well, obviously. But we're not going to be forking over the £80m or so they'd ask for, are we?

David Ornstein reckons he’s going to Everton.
