Zaniolo has been pretty strongly linked almost all window, so I doubt he's the Buendia replacement. Probably more Traore as a squad player with different skills. He looks like a talent, and we all know Emery likes a player he can build back up, so Monchi may have sold him as a project to Emery.

I'd be gutted if Gnotto went to Everton. He's scary good for his age, and fearless. I'd love him as an option at Villa.
This is a player we should have…..especially at the reported cost!!

I think the same, I watched him a fair few times last season and he was really good. However I have read this morning that Leeds are not ready to sell him and I don't blame them.

Didn't he ask to be left out of their cup game during the week? Not sure he could force a move, but he doesn't seem like he wants to stay.

They would be prepared to loan him though so we could bring him in for a season to fill in for Buendia, then see how things are in a year's time.

Late move for Brennan Johnson feels inevitable to me, can play across the forward line and upfront if necessary.

Interested how often he features for Forest as he was on the bench for their final games of last season.

Won't he be up near £80m

Is it bad of me that I had to Google Caicedo when I saw this yesterday as I had no idea who is was it okayed for? My knowledge outside of Villa is pretty terrible!

Nobody, just going on some of the mental fees flying about (Caicedo / Paquetta) . Forest won't give him away cheap on the eve of a new season

It’s interesting there’s an increasing value on proper central midfielders like Rice and Caceido. Makes the value of Dougie, Bouba etc ever more clear.

Based on the above valuations either of them would be £80m+ at least.

Nah, I'd never heard of him.

Luiz and Kamara are simply miles ahead of likes of Caceido and Lavia. Some clubs getting very desperate now. Fair play to Brighton for getting that ridiculous money for Caceido.

Luiz and Kamara would cost us well over £120m to buy, probably a lot more if we were trying to pick them up from a top 7 side. Crazy business.

I'd never heard of Paqueta before this week either. Do like Caicedo.

That may be because commentators can't decide how to pronounce his name.

They signed him in 2021 for £4.5m. In 2 years, they've turned a 106.5m profit.
