Talk of Diego Carlos, which could allow us to make Chambers understudy to Konsa (may already be the case anyway) and for us to get a right back to challenge Cash.

Al Hilal are trying to sign Lille striker Jonathan David.
I've always puzzled why no Premier League team ever makes a move for him. Top clubs, including Villa seemingly so are uninterested.
If he was even fancied by anyone in the Premier League, wouldn't even some Everton, Fulham, Brentford Forest, or Palace go after him?

I'm guessing none of them would be in a position to pay the £80m or so that Lille would want.

And he's probably got his sights set on something much bigger.

Perhaps Wolves.

 ;)

Terrible injury yes, but I still hope DC can come good. He was part of one of the best centre half pairings in Europe. I don’t think we should write him off.

Would love us to submit a £40m bid for Harry Kane and see how they like it.

I'd love us to throw a £90m bid at Kane and see what he does.

Can you imagine how difficult it must be for a club like Bilbao to stay competitive with basically only using home grown players

they've got youth recruitment down to a tee

I was in Bilbao last Easter and turns see a dongle other shirt. It’s a national identity thing with them. They do hiwever have to pay a premium for Basque signings for obvious reasons. They’ve only spent c £200 m in their entire history.

Guaita kicking off at Palace (not a great start) but he could be a very good option as back-up for Emi (assuming he'd want to swap Palace 1st team for our bench). Only 12m left on his contract and has made his stance with the club pretty clear so can't see a big fee being required...

We're hardly done, are we?

As of August 5th:

Asked about the club's transfer business this summer, he [Monchi] added: "We are active to give depth to the squad. If we pass the Conference play-off we can have 55 games this year. We are moving things so that Unai has the maximum arguments."

If he wants maximum arguments, get him a username for H&V. We have space for a new agitator, having lost Footy til '24.
