I don't really understand the need for Monchi to be in the US with the squad. I'm sure he'd be better served being in the UK, hanging up on Daniel Levy.

Yeah, I wondered similar.

Although we finished signing Diaby whilst they were in the US. I think.

I’d presume he has a phone & if anything got close he’d be back in a few hours

I bet he's got more phones than a Chinese click factory.

Lol

I reckon any negotiations can be done exactly the same wherever he is. Let's say we're in for a player from Germany, it makes no difference if Monchi is in B6 or the USA.

Yes, it's far from impossible, but it helps to be in similar timezones in my experience of conducting multimillion-pound transfers.

My gut feeling is that we want to shift a few first. Probably the same for a few other clubs too. Although it made me laugh when I read Arteta saying that their squad's too big now...well, you've just bought a load of players. It's always been easier to buy players than it is to sell them.

Aston Villa giving consideration to Adama Traore reunion?

I had high hopes for him the first time around; his level is the championship at best.

Could Unai Emery work a miracle and transform him into a world-class player? .....No

Traore is the next Paul McStay. He'll be a promising youngster until he retires.

I hope there’s no mobile phone coverage in Washington. Or internet. Or faxes.

And a world shortage of duck/goose fat.

Mebbe Sportsmole are getting their Traores mixed up.

The one who used to play for us is rubbish.

Surely wherever Monchi is the deal gets done when he tells the person on the other end “Hola peasant, this is Monchi”
