I once got suspended from the 'Old Photos of Brum' Facebook group for suggesting that lineup in a comment.

Regarding Inter’s bid for the world’s number one goal keeper...assuming it’s true, I would have liked the club to respond to Inter with £2m and Olsen for Laturo Martinez. Just to make a point.

It's very quiet on even remotely possible links at the moment.

Not just for Villa, the whole transfer market seems very quiet.

A lot of clubs are away in different countries at the moment playing a number of games in a short timeframe, so I think it’s probably been difficult to get things done.  Probably start to see some movement next week.

The office staff too?

My guess is that a lot of teams will start their PS training and some matches and evaluate where some players are and assess / confirm what they think needs to be done in the last few weeks of the window both in terms of buying and selling. Obviously they’ll try to get deals already discussed prior to the window or ‘no brainier’ type deals done early. Like Tielemans on a free, Torres who Unai knew previously and Diaby as we knew we certainly needed at least one new forward. That’s my theory anyway, could be bollocks.

No,  but think it is probably difficult to get things over the line when all of the management are in another country and preparing for three games in a short time frame.

I think the remaining players we'll be looking to bring in at this point will be back-up players so there isn't really that immediate need.

Seeing a few different places saying we're interested in Jean-Clair Todibo. He's a CB though. Not a position I'd have thought we'd be bringing more in to this window.

I think we are trying to have 2 players for each position apart from Center backs where we need at least half a dozen per position
Just to be on the safe side

I don't really understand the need for Monchi to be in the US with the squad. I'm sure he'd be better served being in the UK, hanging up on Daniel Levy.

That seems logical to me.

I reckon there’s a lack of liquidity in the market. An usually high number of premier league clubs have no cash including the typical big spenders. Man U need to sell to buy. Chelsea went mental in January.  Spurs have to pay off the stadium.  Arsenal have given their money to west ham but they’re yet to pass it on.

Yeah, I wondered similar.

Although we finished signing Diaby whilst they were in the US. I think.

Let Monchi top-up his tan. He's got 9 months of hard labour in Birmingham to brace himself for.

I’d presume he has a phone & if anything got close he’d be back in a few hours

I bet he's got more phones than a Chinese click factory.
