All gone quiet on the Doku front, don't know whether that's due to Emery being impressed by Philogene.

Philogene and Kellyman both looked extremely impressive.

I know it's only a pre-season friendly, but even so.

I've liked the look of Philogene every time I've seen him play, which is not that many all told but he's still stood out each time to my eye.

Gnonto links seem to have died away too. Everton now faves to sign him.

I wonder if he 'was' merely the backup option if Diaby failed?

In general, there's usually 1 or 2 young players that impress in pre-season and can put themselves in the first team picture. It's getting tougher with the number of senior players we have now. In that wide right position, we now have McGinn, Diaby, Bailey and Philogene contesting for their place.

Bit of a comedown for him, poor lad.

I don't think Kellyman is ready yet. He needs to fill his frame a bit more. Emery mentioned similar.

Once he has spent some time in the gym, then signed a pro contract, then send him out on loan for 6 months to assess where he is at.

Philogene-Bidace should be a backup option in the squad for Diaby & Bailey...

He is pleasing to the eye with his pace & trickery.

Which masks the fact that its his end product & consistency that has been his problem up until now...

He's got the tools, no doubt. You'd like to think someone like Emery would help him refine it down to pure product and turn him into a star.

He impressed me more than Chuk that day they came on at Tottenham, despite all the hype around Chuk. Haven't really heard / noticed much about him since but he's still young.

Another season of circling the relegation drain.

Got to admit there is some really clever people on here,a lot clever then me, edited just in case I get pulled up for bad spelling

You need to add a space after the comma.

A full stop wouldn’t do any harm either. Missing a “more” too.
thank you for the correction
Yes there are
shouldn't be "Yes there is", might as well join in.

I rate Johnson and in today's market of crazy prices, £40 mil is probably the going rate. With the purchase of Diaby though, I'm not sure we would be in for him as don't they play similar roles?
Johnson is a striker first and foremost, who can also play wide if needed.  I think he would be a good fit at this point, but it's a lot of money for someone who is going to start off as second choice.

A front 3 of Johnson, Watkins, Diaby would  be quite the trio.

Still a step up from where he is now though.
