Surprised we're not bringing in another Brazilian.

He talks more sense than you, I’ll give him that but it’s an exceptionally low bar.
Nothing wrong with me theorising they just aren't for you. You have your own options and theories but it's good to be open to acknowledge others or things that you wouldn't consider.

Except there is nothing particularly insightful about this latest 'exclusive' as there where quite a few on here that suggested Coutinho's signing (and Slippy for that matter) would elevate the status of the club and help us to sign better players...and that was when he originally signed over 12 months ago. It's nice of Gregg to finally catch up.

Greggggg is better than he was covering us for the Mail. But the bar was very low. But he still writes some very obvious stuff for the Athletic, and still mostly bollocks as it relates to us when he’s not stating facts.

I’m finding John Townley refreshingly candid and informative so far by comparison.

I thought we were getting the ex-Southampton bloke (for our Athletic correspondent).

John Townley is the new Brum Mail Villa man and I agree with TV that he’s refreshing on the Claret & Blue podcast. I actually quite liked Ashley Preece as well tbf

Matt Kendrick is the best of the bunch

Ex Heroes & Villains writer.

But none of them are in the same class as Peter Morris, Woodhall or the two blokes off The Villa Podcast.

The more obvious stuff he still copies and pastes or raids News Now for. The analysis stuff he farms out to his colleagues.

don't disagree. a lot of the podcasts are not for me. Matt Kendrick speaks the most sense on the ones i've seen , always seems calm(ish) and measured . Some of the others are a joke

It's been reported that Nico González will not be included in the Barca squad this season. We've been recently linked with him so it will be interesting to see if we try and do a deal.

UPDATE: He's signing for Porto.
