Looking at the weather over the last few days and coming week I object to this thread being titled Summer Transfer window >:( Can someone change it to Wet Transfer window please?

I think it’s gonna take a few more signings for this window to get moist.

Lukaku back in the days when he was at the Boggies or Everton absolutely a no brainer…what we have seen since is a good player when he wants to be….he sulks and downs tools and goes out of shape when he doesn’t get what he wants…if I was anyone but Inter Milan wouldn’t touch with a bargepole…suspect he will eventually go to the Saudi retirement home for an exorbitant fee to help Chelsea’s finances

I would take Lukaku, but only if the it met two conditions.  First, it's a free loan, and secondly Chelsea continue to pay 100% of his wages.

Other than that, not interested. He's been getting worse for the last two years, and isn't going to get any better now he's in his thirties.

Not sure about Lukaku, he seemed to play quite well for Inter though.

Felix continues to be linked, and I do think he would be a good signing. Looked quite lively for Chelsea when he was on loan there.

Diaby seems most likely of those linked recently, seems highly rated and many pundits think it would be bit of a statement signing.

At least the links are mostly to wingers and forwards now, we must be looking at signing one or two.

The problem with Felix for me, and it's the same with a few other names we've been linked with, is that it feels like he's made it clear we're below his standard at the moment. So if he was to end up coming it would feel like a last resort for him. That's not to say he wouldn't still give 100%, but given there's been several good names linked that seem happy to have us looking at them, I think we should be steering more towards them.

Lukaku love him for his life story and childhood hardship. So well done to him. As far as signing for us, NO. He can fuck off to Saudi and when he's there he can steal as much as he wants from them.

Imagine that big name European forward that got posted on here last week was actually Lukaku.

He gave two of the most disgusting performances in centre forward play I have ever seen (vs Croatia in the World Cup, then the CL final).

I have an irrational dislike of him for that CL game.

Felix would be great though. I don't think Stan is winding us up but I don't think he knows much either. Anyone who winds up other Villa fanswith transfer bullshittery is an arsehole imo. I don't care if you do it to other clubs but don't do it to your own.

Jeremy Doku? Me neither.

He is a serious talent.
Looks good on Youtube .. Looks and play a bit like Diaby so if its like Romano says it shows how kind of winger we are after. Must have been a - as you say, bluenose that has been on Wiki about him and us.

His WhoScored ratings and statistics are pretty incredible. Apparently he was the #2 Dribbler across the Top 5 Leagues behind Vini. Injuries seem to be a concern for him.

It’s surprising to see someone like Romano link us with a player on a Sunday. Does anyone else think the club might have fed him the news to pressure Leverkusen?

Ironic that one problem child is apparently commenting on another as a potential Villa signing. Fuck no, stay well clear.
I wouldn’t touch Joao Felix either, his club don’t want him, his recent loan club don’t want him and supposedly another club have pulled their interest. We’re not good enough for him? Don’t make me laugh.
