Having watched some youtube (I know!), I like the look of Diaby.

He seems a lot more disciplined than Leon and looks to be very useful in the final third.. in the Bundesliga, of course.

It's been 10 minutes since we announced Torres, have we signed anyone else yet?

The idea that Maguire plays well for England....95% of England games are against Championship level opposition at best. Hardly any of them press and plenty don't even attack at all. And then we lose to a good team

He's not as bad as some make out but international football isn't a good basis to judge anything

My reaction was the opposite - even the YT highlights reel didn't seem that impressive - but what do I know....:) - I thought Bailey was a world-beater

He looks very similar to Bailey to be honest but then i'm not sure what we'd expect a YouTube highlights reel of a winger to show (other than dribbling, scoring, assisting). But his style of play looks similar to what you'd have seen on a Bailey YouTube from his time in the Bundesliga.
Probably doesn't prove anything other than YouTube videos are useless for scouting purposes! :P

56 year old Kazuyoshi Miura has had his loan contract extended at Oliveirense. So that's one forward option gone.

We're being linked with Maguire again, Dwight Yorke apparently telling him Villa would be a great move for him.
Oh, I agree with Dwight there, coming to Villa would be a great move for him.

It would also be a great move for me, given that I'm a slightly podgy, unfit, balding, dyspraxic 41 year old.  However, I'm not sure that it'd be a such great move for the club, which is maybe more the point ...

No need to include the balding part, some of the greatest of all time were follicly challenged (Zidane, Charlton, Robben, Roberto Carlos...)

Steve Stone, Alan Wright...

....Stephen Ireland.....I'll get me coat!
My personal favourite; Ivan de la Pena, the little Buddha!

He's had a mad career.  Before he went to Oliveirense he was on loan at the wonderfully named 'Suzuka Point Getters'.

He's got no hair, but we don't care, Chrissy, Chrissy Price.

That's a damn shame.

Kazuyoshi could have done a good job in the hole or at the base of the diamond.

I'm going to go on a scouting mission next season to see him play. The man's a legend and marketing goldmine. If we sign him I'm pretty sure we'll sell more of his shirts than we do Ollie Watkins in Japan.

Having watched some youtube (I know!), I like the look of Diaby.

I know nothing about him but his stats don’t look that great until recently. Like someone else said, a swap with Bailey might suit all parties.

I’m liking the idea of Brennan Johnson more and more. Knows the league and pulled Forest to safety last season so appears to have a bit of gumption about him.

I also think he’d be over the moon to play for us where others would see us as a stepping stone. we need a bit of that in the squad.
