What about the worries that he's crap in the air?

Needs to play alongside someone that is, i.e Tyrone.

I'm hoping he'll be one of these classy 'organise the whole defence' type players.

Talk of him wanting to play deeper and them playing him as an no.8 off the left, pretty much nailing any chance of Smith Rowe getting more games. I'm covinced we'll try and sign him, and as they're spending the best part of £200m so far they'll take our offer to balance up.

Shit, I’ve bought a new shirt especially.

Wonder where he'll go. Newcastle? Juventus? Baggies? Something about those kits makes me think of him.

Yeah, I see a cut-price move for him at best, maybe to Birmingham City circa 1984. Xhaka has gone for about £14m, those two are not going to make much of a dent into the large outlay, plus they also signed Trossard who plays where Smith Rowe does back in January.

If I was him I'd be starting to think the writing is on the wall a bit and would look to get out, before you end up being the next Rueban Loftus Cheek or Callum Hudson Odoi, sitting out your key development years on the bench

Does he want to leave, or is he being forced to do it against his will?

Aston Villa are advancing in talks to sign Pau Torres. Deal not completed yet but progressing to key stages between the two clubs. 🟣🔵🇪🇸 #AVFC

Bayern decided to go for Kim as priority and Villa now pushing to sign Pau — as Unai Emery wants him.

Physically light anyway for PL football but I guess Emery is thinking we will be dominating possession a lot more next season. Bit like Tielemans it's a bit strange that LCB is a position that we are looking to strengthen. Don't think it sounds good for Diego Carlos future with us that this deal is so close.

In terms of profile though, Tielemans and Torres are statement signings. Two very talented players with club and international experience.

How is Pau pronounced? Pow, Paw, Po?

Sort of "Powoo". It also means 'Peace' in Catalan.

Was listening to Talksport earlier (yeah I know) and they were saying that West Ham are lining up a bid for Harvey Barnes, but that we are also interested.

The reporter on there was saying the price was expected to be £25m - £30m, which would be a decent sort of price even though I don't think he would start regularly for us.

If you met him, you could say "How now Pau?" And Pau would rhyme with how and now.
