Chiesa trufact - speaks perfect English, went to an International School in Florence when his dad was at Fiorentina, lessons in English.

Insanely attractive Mrs. Even by footballer standards.

Chiesa was fantastic at the Euros in 2021 on the back of exciting club form but I haven't kept tabs on him since. Did he get a big move and struggle?

Had a great first season at Juve, got into the Euros squad and played brilliantly for Italy that summer. Then he did his cruciate around Xmas and only came back almost a full year later. So not sure if you'd consider him "injury prone", or just had one bad injury.  He was ace at the Euros though, but I've no idea if he's same the player now.

I think Juve paid something like 50m euros for him so I don't see them selling unless it's a chunk more than that, unless they know he's knackered...

I watched that All or Nothing style Juventus thing on Prime, it covered the season he was out recovering from his ACL, so focused on him quite a lot.

He seems level-headed, grounded and worked very hard to get fit.

There's no way he's coming here, he'll have much better offers.

I do wonder how likely he is to want to come here, though.

Starting to find myself thinking we're going after players who don't want to come here.

True, but if we can land one or two of that calibre then it sews the seed in the minds of others that we are a serious proposition.

Meunièr being linked

Presumably a right full back?

Yup. But the sort of right-back that can also drop into a back three or midfield.

Plus knows Donk and Tielemans from Belgium. And tall, which we're very much not at the moment.

I'd be pretty comfortable with it.

Have a look at his injury record, it’s diabolical. Makes Coutinho look robust.

I think most of you have mirrored my thoughts on seeing the link this morning. Fantastic player, one of the best at euro 21 but is he realistic at this stage? A bit like Asensio. Also there's the injury.

Then again, like most of the links i don't take them too seriously anyway until one of the few credible journos start tweeting.

Yes a good player when he plays. A very rubbish one when he doesn't, which is more often than not.

To me right back is a key position for upgrade - Cash hasn't been up to level required to kick on for best part of 18 months.

I guarantee we won't sign any of them if we don't at least try.

We do need a right back, and a good one but good right backs aren't the players that ultimately win you things. Players like Chiesa are, although they do need to be fit and want to come here which is two big if's.

From what I read, we offered 60m euros to Juve for Chiesa and it was the player that turned the move down.

Heard a whisper this morning about a premier league free transfer.
Don't know who but I thinks it's at academy level. Any good kids we might be hoovering up?

Could it be that lad who's just left united?

Where did you hear this, in a cafe in Torino?
