Anyone else get frustrated when all the chatter (news now - i know i shouldn't) about a player we are strongly linked with

Nico Williams
Asensio
Ugarte
Pau Torres
Chukwueze
Guenduzi

Either go somewhere else, advise they are not interested or no updates at all

I really thought we we do like last year and pounce as soon as season ended

Not at all. We don’t normally do our business in public and I’d very much doubt there’s much in the rumours that appear in the press.
I heard Ings say that when he knew he was moving the club told him that if it got out into the press beforehand we’d pull the plug on it. I know it’s not always possible but we’ve become very good at going under the radar with regards to signings.

Especially if he's found guilty at retrial...

Slabhead?

As much as Emery has my 100% on anyone he wants to sign - if he signed him then i would declare him clinically insane. I actually think CHambers is a better footballer than McGuire

Why though what’s the point of all the secrecy
They’re just signings of footballers, we’re not talking about nuclear codes here just links with Bill and Bob who may or may not sign for us

I don’t get why everyone gets off on the fact that we are really good at playing MI6 when it comes to signing a few footballers,
who gives a fuck if anyone knows or not

For one, it helps to avoid a bid being hijacked by other clubs.

And potential embarrassment if they turn us down, as well as showing replacement targets they are second choice.

And I don't get why fans feel they need to know everything about everything and can't have a little bit of patience and find stuff out all in good time.

So why then was it important to hold secret the deal to sell Ings? Should be in our interest to make it known that he was for sale to start a bidding war.

The month of July is going to be incredibly busy. Monchi joins, kit release, pre season tours, players get back to training, and we will start to see players being added and leaving. As much as it is quiet now it will get really hectic in a couple of weeks.

Yes then it is info overload .  I want to savour it all bit by bit,  but it doesn't happen sadly

Mings and Hause? ...
If you mean Carlos, I think he's right-footed.

I was of the opinion that Carlos was leftfooted. According to Transfermarket.com he is rightfooted. Thanks for clarifying.

Carlos is right footed but he played as left centre back for Sevilla with Kounde on the right.

Don't panic, this was in reference to Man U potentially trying to palm him off to West Ham.

I see we've been linked with Summerville at Leeds. He's highly rated by their fans but for us he'd be on the bench, one for the future. If we can get him cheap it could be a good bit of business. Who we bring in either as a winger/forward is going to be key. It's our weakest area and we need players/strikers that can straight into the team.
